We support individuals to build confidence, develop life skills, and take greater control over their day-to-day lives. Through consistent, strengths-based support, we help people make their own choices, back themselves, and move toward their personal goals with confidence.
We provide practical support to create routine, stability, and balance in everyday life. By working alongside individuals, we help build healthy habits, improve emotional regulation, and create a sense of consistency that supports overall wellbeing.
We support individuals to engage with their community in meaningful ways, whether that’s attending events, building social connections, or accessing local services. Our focus is on creating a sense of belonging, reducing isolation, and strengthening cultural and community ties.
At Aunty Gwen Cares, we believe that support should be more than just a service. It should feel safe, personal, and empowering.
Too often, people navigating the NDIS system experience care that feels rushed, disconnected, or lacking understanding of who they are and what matters most to them. We saw the need for something different. Aunty Gwen Cares is a service built on genuine relationships, trust, and cultural respect.
Aunty Gwen Cares was created to provide support that puts people first. We take the time to listen, understand your story, and walk alongside you as you build independence, confidence, and a life that reflects your goals.
Our approach is grounded in community, compassion, and cultural awareness. We are committed to delivering care that respects identity, strengthens connection, and creates real, lasting impact.
Aunty Gwen Williams was a deeply respected Bundjalung Elder from Casino in Northern NSW, known for her unwavering commitment to community, culture, and care for others. She led with quiet strength and wisdom, always placing people at the centre of everything she did.
The inspiration for Aunty Gwen Cares is grounded in the values she lived by every day. These are patience, deep listening, continuous learning, strong relationships, and an unbreakable connection to culture. These weren’t just principles she spoke about, but values she practiced through her work and presence in community.
Today, her family continue to carry and protect these values, ensuring they are honoured in a way that is authentic and meaningful. As custodians of her legacy, they guide the foundation of Aunty Gwen Cares and the way support is delivered.
At Aunty Gwen Cares, these values shape everything we do. Our programs are designed to ensure that every participant feels genuinely heard, understood, and supported. We are committed to providing high-quality, culturally safe care that respects identity, strengthens connection, and creates a safe and empowering environment for people to thrive.
